Wynona Lynn Adcock

A visitation for Wynona Lynn Adcock, 96, will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Dr. Bossier City, Louisiana. Wynona was born on November 16, 1929, to John and Thelma Gorham in Winnfield, Louisiana and passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kelly Berne.
Wynona was born and raised in Winnfield, Louisiana, living as a teenage girl through WWII. She married very early in life, eventually raising three children in Shreveport, Louisiana as a single working Mother. At the age of 43 she met and married her second husband, which allowed her the freedom to pursue her many passions. She was an Avon Representative for over 20 years and loved many hobbies such as gardening, ceramics, making porcelain dolls to include all of the clothing and sharing the love of quilting with her daughter Jerrie. Wynona was a devoted Christian, Mother and Wife who loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Wynona was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Thelma Gorham; stepmother, Minnie Lee Gorham; first husband and the father of her three children, Jerry Allen; second husband, Billy James Adcock; brother, Billy Gorham (Jane) and youngest son, Robert Lee Allen.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Eddie Allen (Sharon) of York Town, VA., daughter Jerrie Lynn Allen Thornton (Mike) of Haughton, LA., daughter-in-law Peggy Allen of Pilot Point, TX., and Mary Katherine Porter Royale, mother of four of her grandchildren; grandchildren: Jeff Allen, Gina Thornton, Amy Thornton, Summer Allen, Lee Allen, Shelby Allen, Ester Allen and Michael Allen; and great grandchildren Kennedy, Will, Trey and Porter; niece Laurie Gorham and nephew Ricky Gorham. She is survived by one faithful and loving brother, Lawerance Gorham of Gales Ferry, CT.
Burial will take place at the Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to the First United Methodist Church of Bossier.
