Thomas "Tommy" Birten Powell

Thomas “Tommy” Birten Powell of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on August 25, 2022 after a lengthy illness.  Tommy was born on April 14, 1951 in Cornwall, New York.  He retired from Sportran in 2013 after 41 years of service.  Tommy was a talented musician and vocalist who played music in many venues over the years.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon; mother, Katherine Woodard; step brother, Danny Woodard; daughters, Connie (Jason) Wilson of Magnolia, Arkansas and Rita (Cody) Sullivan of Benton, Louisiana; 4 beautiful granddaughters, Samantha, Lauren, Emily and Claire; and many friends.
