In Loving Memory of Thomas West Bullock, Jr.
April 11, 1937 — December 15, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas West Bullock, Jr. on December 15, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on April 11, 1937, in Talco, Texas, raised in Longview, Texas, Tom lived 88 years marked by devotion to family, faith, service, and the outdoors.
A proud and resourceful self‑employed professional, Tom approached his work and his life with integrity, perseverance, and kindness. Outside of work, he found joy and peace in nature—fly fishing, cycling, camping, and running were among his favorite pursuits. He especially loved the mountains and shared that love with others. Tom devoted countless years to backpacking and introducing friends to the outdoors, guiding them on trails, teaching fundamentals of preparedness, and inspiring a lifelong respect for wild places. The destination was always just past the next hill. Whether showing someone how to tie or cast a fly on a quiet river, fixing a bike mid-ride, or encouraging weary hikers, Tom delighted in helping others discover confidence, resilience, and wonder in nature. His mentoring spirit and steady presence left a lasting imprint on many families and communities.
Tom is lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Brenda; his son, Chris, and daughter‑in‑law, Jennifer, of Bossier City, Louisiana; his sister, Jean Bullock of Shreveport, LA; and his cherished grandchildren, Erin Bullock of Addison, Texas, and Brandon of Bossier City, Louisiana along with numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Bullock, father, West Bullock, and brother, Bill Bullock.
