Obituary for Steve L. Ehrhard
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve L. Ehrhard, who passed away on April 7, 2026, in Bossier City, Louisiana, at the age of 66.Steve was born on August 25, 1959, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He lived a life grounded in hard work, faith, and an unwavering love for his family. Steve worked as an electrician for General Motors for over 20 years, where he was known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous learning.
Steve was a wonderful, kind-hearted, and generous man who never met a stranger. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a laugh, bringing joy to those around him. His greatest pride and joy in life was his beautiful and loving wife, Vickie, and the family they built together.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Vickie Lynn Ehrhard; his children, Angela Ehrhard Barnes (Lawrence), Gary Eathon Foster (Erin), Steven Lloyd Ehrhard (Crystal), and Sandra Ehrhard Edwards (Will); and his cherished grandchildren: Lily Rose Barnes, Baylee Joye Foster, Carter Ehrhard, Nolan Ehrhard, Audrey Ehrhard, Hunter Ebey, and Nathan Anderson. He is also survived by his brothers, John Ehrhard (Angel) and Mike Ehrhard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Veronica and Quillian Ehrhard.
Steve had a deep love for life and enjoyed fishing, hunting, singing, traveling, and attending church. More than anything, he treasured the time he spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. The love he had for his family was evident in everything he did, and it will remain his lasting legacy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and on Tuesday, April 14, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery.
Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
