September 11, 1961 – March 4, 2026
Stephanie Thomas Mott, 64, of Homer, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Stephanie worked in education, retail, and spent 18 years with the Registrar. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was defined by her deep love for God, her family, and those around her. She had a servant’s heart and found great joy in caring for others. Whether offering encouragement, lending a helping hand, or simply being present for someone in need, Stephanie always put others before herself.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jeff Mott; her daughter, Courtney Munn and husband Nicholas; and her son, Christopher Mott and wife Hannah. She was also the proud and loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and whom she cherished deeply. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Angie Goodwin and Kathy Gray and husband Bill, as well as her brother Kenneth Thomas and husband Geoff, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
To her family and friends, Stephanie was affectionately known as “Stuffy.” Her grandchildren lovingly called her “Mimi,” a title she treasured more than anything. She took great pride in her family and found her greatest happiness in spending time with them, sharing laughter, making memories, and offering unwavering love and support. Stephanie will be remembered for her kindness, strength, generosity, and her positive outlook on life, even during the most difficult times. Her faith guided her life, and she lived in a way that reflected compassion, grace, and devotion to those she loved. The impact she made on the lives of her family and friends will never be forgotten.
Her love, warmth, and gentle spirit will live on through the many people whose lives she touched.
