Shelley Dianne Tatum

Shelley Dianne Tatum, age 51, of Fort Necessity, Louisiana, passed from this life on June 20, 2025, at Meadowview Nursing Home in Minden, Louisiana. In accordance with her family’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.

Shelley was a graduate of Fort Necessity School and an alumna of Louisiana Tech University, where she earned her nursing degree. She dedicated many years to her career in nursing. Shelley found joy in spending time with her family, cooking, and tending to her flowers—often accompanied by her beloved dog, Izzy. Shelley was an artistic person who liked many types of crafts, including drawing, sewing, painting, and more. She was passionate about reading and film, with horror being her absolute favorite genre. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Griffith. She is survived by her daughter, Leah Tatum, and her son, Matthew Tatum, both of Fort Worth, Texas; her mother, Bernice “Boots” Griffith; her brother, Michael Griffith of Fort Necessity, Louisiana; her niece, Rachael Kopras (Stephen) of Ohio; her nephew, Morgan Griffith (Christian) of Hebert Louisiana; and her great-nephews, Raylan and William Kopras. As well as many cousins and friends. 

Shelley will be lovingly remembered by her family. May she rest in peace and find comfort in the arms of the Lord."
