Sharlotte Emmeline Maxey

Sharlotte (Mimi) Maxey, 74, of Shreveport, LA was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 17, 2023.  Sharlotte was born in Many, LA on October 11, 1949, to Emmitt and Pauline Maxey.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, son, Carl Smith and girlfriend Melissa, Angie Speth and husband Bryan, Brandy LeClare and husband Jim; ten grandchildren, Heather, Krystle and husband Buddy, Amber, Kalem and wife Shyanne, Cortney, Austin, Jaxon, Baylen, Hayden and Shea; ten great-grandchildren, Bailey, Leyah, Phillip, Brody, Landon, Nolynn, Walker, Cohen, Keiran, Clary; nephew, Keith Maxey; sister-in-law, Meshell Maxey; and many other family members and friends.

Preceding Sharlotte in death are her parents Emmitt Maxey and Pauline Maxey; son, Richie Smith; and brother, Floyd Maxey.  

A memorial service to honor Sharlotte’s life will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Boone Funeral Home.

Sharlotte was a strong fighter, one of the strongest women we know.  A special thank you to Life Path Hospice, her nurse Julie, and the staff at Heritage Manor Stratmore, especially her nurse Sharon.
