Sarah Anne Thomas

Sarah Anne Thomas went to be with the angels on March 22, 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana surrounded by loved ones. She was 85 years old, and the last of nine siblings.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, A.R. Thomas; son A.R. Thomas, Jr.; great-grandson, Qwynton McKinney.

She is survived by four children, Mary Merrill and husband Larry, Jimmy Thomas and wife Debra, Peggy Foster, and James Thomas; five grandchildren, Sheera Emerson and husband Bryan, Dana Bryan and husband Josh, Jennifer McKinney and husband Mike, Morgan Foster, and Blade Foster and wife Kalynn; ten great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and many friends.  

Through the years she cared for many children in her home that knew her as "MaMaw". She always had baked sweets for anyone who walked in her door. She loved to cook and if any grand wanted something different she would make a special dish. She was the family advisor. She loved the Lord, her family, and the many children that she cared for during the years. The lessons and love she shared with her family and the children she cared for will live on for many generations.  She will always be in our hearts.
