After receiving a BS in accounting, he obtained the distinction of Certified Public Accountant. In his spare time, Sam could be found on the golf course or watching LSU play football, often yelling at the screen. He also loved collecting cut glass and antique pocket watches, as well as restoring old cars.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to any Alzheimer’s Association to further the research for a cure.
Sam was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was known for his kind spirit, generosity, witty sense of humor and infectious laugh. His legacy will continue through the memories and love he displayed on a daily basis. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
