In Loving Memory of River John Skinner-Menanno

Our hearts are heavy as we bid farewell to our dear little River John Skinner-Menanno, who, like a gentle stream, flowed into our lives. Born to Bryce Menanno and Aidan Skinner, River brought love and laughter to all around him. He graced this world for only four short but precious months before tragically departing on March 18, 2024.

River was a little bundle of joy, his laughter bubbled like a babbling brook and his smiles sparkled like the sun dancing on water. Though his time with us was brief, he filled every moment with love, warmth, and innocence, leaving a permanent mark on all our hearts.

River is now a part of the great river of life, flowing onward to a peaceful and eternal destination. Though we mourn his loss deeply, we take solace in knowing that he is now cradled in the gentle embrace of the ever-flowing love of God.

River is survived by his loving Mother, Bryce Menanno; Father, Aidan Skinner; Grandmother, Britney Menanno; his Grandfather, John Menanno; his caring Aunt, Sara Menanno; his playful Uncle and best friend, Justus Menanno; his Grandmothers, Janice C. Porter Cox and Jamie Turgeon Skinner; his Grandfathers, Brian L. Skinner and L. Keith Cox; Great Grandmothers, Judy Tolbert Skinner and Vivian White Porter. Together, they will cherish the memories of their beloved River, keeping his spirit alive in their hearts forever.

In his short time with us, River taught us the profound beauty of simplicity, the boundless depths of love, and the preciousness of every moment. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the light he brought into our lives and the love he shared with all who knew him.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM on March 23, 2024, at St. Jude Catholic Church, in Benton, LA. May his spirit continue to flow like a gentle river, bringing comfort and peace to those who hold him dear. Rest in eternal peace, sweet River John Skinner-Menanno. You will forever be our precious little angel, dancing in the currents of our memories.
