Obituary

George Dewey Mauldin, 74 of Shreveport, LA went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Dewey was born in Shreveport, LA on August 18th, 1951 to Odis and Betty Mauldin. He graduated from Woodlawn High School as part of the class of 1969. He became a professional certified diver in 1971 and was also an accomplished photographer. He worked as a dental lab technician and owned his own lab for many years before transitioning to his real passion, making jewelry. He was a talented jeweler and the owner of Mauldin’s Jewelry for nearly forty years. He served the community as a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association with his beloved wife Linda. He graduated from Rhema Bible School in 1997 and served as one of the pastors at Spirit of Truth Ministries until his passing.

Dewey will be missed for his selfless love for his family and church family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who upheld a standard of excellence both, personally and professionally that exemplified Christ. He was the first to tell you it was all because of Jesus. He loved the word of God and was a phenomenal Bible teacher. His sense of humor and storytelling was quick witted and could captivate an audience. Even though we know he is with his Heavenly Father, there will always be a void in our hearts until we see him again. Those who knew him were impacted in ways that will impact them for the rest of their lives. We’re so blessed and grateful for the wisdom, faithfulness, patience, generosity, integrity, creativity, laughs, and most of all the unconditional love.

Mathew 25:21 …Well done, thou good and faithful servant…

Dewey was proceeded in death by his brother Larry Mauldin, father Odis Mauldin, and his wife Linda Mauldin. He is survived by his mother Betty Mauldin, his sisters Ramona Self and Pam Beyer, his daughters Ashley Sikes and Amber Mauldin-Morlock along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
