Nick Stegall

August 18, 1989 — September 28, 2025

Philip Nicklos Stegall (36) was born in Shreveport, LA on August 18, 1989. He went to meet his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Taking his last breath in this world, he breathed his next breath in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Nick is survived by his daughter Lacey Kate Stegall, his parents Mike and Cindy Stegall, brother Michael (Kristen) Stegall, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Barbara Stegall and Ginger Rice.

Nick went to Judson Magnet Elementary School, Broadmoor Middle School, and went on to graduate from Captain Shreve High School. After graduation, Nick attended Vo-Tech and received his Diesel Mechanic Certification.

Growing up, Nick loved riding his BMX bikes and was very competitive. He was No. 1 in Louisiana, competing in Baton Rouge, Monroe, Dallas, Beaumont, and went on to Grand Nationals in Oklahoma.

Nick also loved drag racing and gaming, which included Mario, Pokémon, Zelda, Halo, Golden Eye, Arkham (Batman), as well as collecting Pokémon cards.

He was a diligent worker, a resilient figure in the face of adversity, and a person who provided exemplary effort. Nick worked with his dad and grandfather at BJ Stegall Rig Doctor. This experience helped him gather the knowledge he would need for future employment. He worked with the newest technology in fracking, then went to work offshore in the oil and gas industry. He passed a work placement test and qualified to be a senior supervisor. Next, he worked as a plumber at The Pain Company, then Benteler Steel. Nick’s last employment was at Affordable Furniture, and he was training for a regional management position.

Nick had an unassuming and disarming smile that could put anyone at ease; from newborns to the elderly, everyone was Nick’s friend. His sense of humor was second to none and He was as compassionate as he was funny. Nick could find the silver lining to keep pushing forward in any situation. Nick was so special. He represented the good that we all need every day in our lives. He was one of a select few who could rise to meet challenges with a smile. We are proud to have been able to call Nick our family and our friend.

Nick loved his family dearly. His daughter was the light of his life and his relationship with his brother Michael will always be cherished. He touched the lives of so many people. He will be truly missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.
