Peggy Booty

Peggy Jean Goodwin Booty was born on August 9, 1931 in Leesville, LA to Dean and Irene Goodwin. She married Walter Truitt Booty on January 17, 1947. She passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026 in Shreveport, LA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Truitt Booty; daughter-in-law Ann Booty; and brother Frank Preston Mitcham.

She is survived by her sons Ron Booty (Deborah) and Johnny Booty (Sonya), and daughter Gayla Booty Campbell (Mel); grandchildren, Becky Booty Lary, Leigh Booty, Lesley Booty Amos, Josh Booty, Abram Booty, John David Booty, and Jack Booty, Caleb and Connor Campbell, and Suzanne Irene Kibby. She had 15 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Frierson Baptist Church with Mel Campbell officiating.
