Pat Colpitts

Shreveport, LA- Ms. Pat Colpitts passed away June 18, 2006, in Shreveport. She was born on July 4, 1930, in Boston, MA. Ms. Colpitts was a graduate of Boston University and received her masters in nursing and public health. She was a nurse and held an administration position at Overton-Brooks VA Hospital for many years. After retirement, she continued as a nurse at several nursing homes in the Shreveport area. Ms. Colpitts spent many days at the Creswell School teaching children how to read, as well as volunteering with other literacy programs in town for children. She was an avid gardener and was very involved with the Highland Restoration Association.
