Mona Davis

Shreveport, LA--A Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2004 at 2:00 PM in the Boone Chapel. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, November 15, 2004 from 12:00 until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Father Charles Glorioso and Rev. Patrick Hawthorne (son-in-law ). Mrs. Mona Davis passed away at her home, with her family at her bedside, on Thursday, November 11, 2004 after a lengthy illness. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all those who knew her. Mrs. Davis was an avid gardener and loved working in her yard. She and her husband also enjoyed making crafts and working with wood. She had been a resident of Shreveport for 57 years, where she also raised her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Othel E. and Mazie Ola Randolph, step-father, Forest Sustaire and her sister Norma Jean Randolph. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 48 years, Tony Davis and three daughters, Toni Davis, Kathy Hawthorne and husband Patrick and Gail Keith and husband Tony. Two grandsons, Michael Anthony Davis and Daniel King and two sisters, Betty Procell, and Carole Hagel. Also the love of her life, Sweet Pea, her little dog. Pallbearers will be Patrick Hawthorne, Daniel King, Michael Davis, Tony Keith, Justin Colby, Roger Blundell and Ryan Kesterson. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Pius X Church, 4300 North Market, Shreveport, LA 71107. As per Mona's request, the family encourages casual dress. The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to Father Charles Glorioso, Willis Knighton Hospice, Willis Knighton Home Health, Dr. Huan Le, Dr. Arthur Poch and from her family and friends for all their thoughts and prayers.
