Marlene Bridges

Mildred Marlene Bridges, 89, of Elm Grove, LA passed away on August 29, 2022.

Marlene was born in Lamesa, TX on August 5, 1933 to Maggie Mae Taylor Ireton and Elmer Scott Ireton. She was the youngest of 5 siblings.

She was married to Billy Jean Bridges for 33 years until his passing in 1988. She is survived by her son William Scott "Bill" Bridges (Linda) of Maurice, LA, daughter Nancy Bridges Mitchell (Larry) of New Market, TN and son James Timothy "Tim" Bridges of Elm Grove, LA. She had 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was a long time employee of Clanton Lumber Company and Neff Construction, Shreveport, LA. She retired in 2005.

Graveside services will be held at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, LA at a later date.
