Mickey Don Horton

Mickey Don Horton, 64, of Blanchard, LA passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 after a brief illness.

Mickey was born January 18, 1961 in Shreveport, LA. He worked for Pharr Bros, Inc. for 45 years along side his brother & best friend, Rocky. He was also a long time member of the Caddo Hunting Club, where he and Rocky spent every hunting season. Mickey’s passions in life were family, hunting & firearms.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny & Georgia Horton.

Mickey is survived by his daughter, Maranda Horton & fiancé Derek Alsabrook; brother Rocky & wife Sherry; grandchildren: Tiffany Ray, Lainee Ray, Reagan Alsabrook & Aubree Alsabrook; nephew Cody Horton; niece Jennifer “Sissy” Horton & great-nephew Cooper Horton.

Mickey was loved and cared for by countless other family members & friends. Thank you to everyone for sticking by his side.

Special thank you to Samantha Bruscato with BCBS for the kindness & compassion shown during Mickey’s hospital stay.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA. To honor Mickey, the family is asking for everyone to wear a splash of pink.
