Melvin Alfred Toalston

Mr. Melvin Alfred Toalston, 93, of Mooringsport, Louisiana passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020.  Melvin was born October 2, 1926 in Mechanicstown, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II while being stationed on the USS Guam.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Orah Toalston; two brothers Clifford (Joann), and Cecil (Virginia) Toalston.

He is survived by his wife Frances Ammons Toalston; children, Connie West (husband Billy), Linda Kay Toalston, Marilyn Miller, and Melvin Toalston, Jr.; grandchildren, Christine, Kelly, Aaron, Francine; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Alice Marie Baker and Mabel Hudak; his beloved dogs Cutie and Colby; and pet goat Flash.
