Mary Wyatt

September 8, 1963 — July 14, 2025

Mary Wyatt, age 61 of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away peacefully after a hard-fought battle with a lengthy illness on Monday, July 14, 2025.

Mary was born on September 8, 1963, in Winnfield, Louisiana, to parents Ronald and Elanore Gresham. She grew up alongside her two sisters, Ronda and Vicki, with whom she shared love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life, she especially loved the beach. She cherished being outside and enjoyed the beauty of nature. Her love for animals was boundless, and her home was always filled with the loyal companionship of her cherished fur babies.

Of all the roles she held in life, her most treasured was being a mother and grandmother. Mary shared an unbreakable bond with her daughter Mattie. She took great pride in watching her daughter grow into the woman she has become. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, whether it was playing outside, sharing stories, or just being present for the everyday moments, Mary embraced every opportunity to make memories with them. She found her greatest joy in those moments of connection, and the love they shared will live on in each of their hearts.

Mary was also immensely proud of the Waskom Market, a thriving vintage market with over 40 vendors. She poured her heart into it, and her passion and dedication helped build it into a beloved community space. Her presence there—her laugh, her warmth, and her welcoming spirit—will be deeply missed by fellow vendors and loyal visitors alike.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Wyatt; her father, Ronald Gresham; and her sister, Vicki Pardue.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Mattie Dickson; stepdaughter, Stacey Touchet and husband Brandon; her grandchildren: Wyatt Cash, Abagail Dickson, Issac Touchet, and Sophia Touchet; her mother, Elanore Gresham; her sister, Ronda Vanderwal and husband Jan; special Aunt and Uncle, Steve and Sherry Hill; along with a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many other loved ones who will continue to honor her memory by living their lives with the same grace, kindness, and strength she so effortlessly shared.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Mary’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her honor to the American Heart Association.

Mary’s light and love will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
