Mark (Scott) Franklin, 55, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on February 27 from natural causes in the care of Willis Knighton Hospice.
A small celebration of life will be held on May 6, 2026, in Gilliham, Arkansas, with another private ceremony to be held in Shreveport at a later date.
Scott was born in Tucson, Arizona, on October 31, 1957. Scott graduated from Hillcrest High School in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1976 and received a degree in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University in 1981.
Scott was married to Patricia. They spent nearly 35 years together and raised one son, Charles Houston.
Scott enjoyed golfing, fishing, and canoeing. He was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan and also enjoyed watching Texas Rangers baseball. He was an avid music connoisseur who attended many concerts over the years with friends and family. He enjoyed driving his little blue Mazda Miata. He was very kind and would often stop to give food to the unhoused. He had a big heart and would help people in need when he could.
Scott is survived by his mother, Norma; his wife, Patricia; his son, Charles; his brother, Clay; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved greatly. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby; his brothers Rob and Charles; and his sister, Diana.
