Kevin Capurs, age 41 of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and unforgettable memories. Born on May 8, 1984 to parents Meldon and Thelma Capurs, Kevin was known for his big heart and even bigger presence, he brought joy to every room he entered.
A lifelong fan of the game, Kevin loved basketball, whether he was watching a big game or shooting hoops with friends. He was also a master of the domino table, where his competitive spirit and good-natured humor shined brightest. But above all, Kevin cherished the moments spent with his family, the source of his greatest pride and happiness.
Affectionately nicknamed “Big Kev”, he was blessed with a large and loving family, as well as countless friends who became like family over the years. Kevin was a member of Temple Baptist Church No 2. in Bossier City, Louisiana. His laughter and love touched more lives than can be counted, and the bonds he formed will carry on through every story told and memory shared.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents; Meldon and Thelma Capurs.
He is survived by his siblings; Theodore Capurs, Stacy Capurs and Meldon Capurs.
The Capurs family would like to recognize these special individuals who were a big part of Kevin’s life; Qunna Harris, Sally Holloway, Jameka Williams, Christopher Robinson, Eric Jones, The Moody Family, Kevin P Long and Mr. Mark.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Kevin’s life at a later date. His spirit will live forever in the hearts of all who knew him.
As Kevin would proudly say, “Capurs Boys Lives On”.
