Kayla Marie Windham-Estes
March 29, 1984 – June 4, 2026
Kayla Marie Windham-Estes, age 42, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home on June 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on March 29, 1984, Kayla lived a life defined by strength, determination, intelligence, humor, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She earned her MBA and built a successful career as a Specialist Team Manager, earning the respect of colleagues and friends through her leadership, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
While Kayla achieved many accomplishments throughout her life, she found her greatest joy and proudest achievements in her children. She was a devoted mother whose love knew no bounds. Every decision she made and every challenge she faced was guided by her dedication to her family. Her children’s successes brought her more happiness than any recognition she received herself.
Kayla enjoyed reading, traveling, and creating lasting memories with her family. She possessed a fiercely competitive spirit, a quick wit, and a remarkable independence that inspired those around her. She loved deeply and generously, always willing to give of herself for the benefit of others. Family and friends will remember her for her strength in adversity, her sense of humor, and the unconditional love she shared so freely.
She is preceded in life by her papa Richard Allison, Granddaddy Charlie Lewis and Grandmother Lou Lewis and survived by her beloved husband, Gregg Estes; her cherished children, Lila Windham and Brooks Estes; her loving mother, Babe Lewis; her father, Ridgely Lewis; her sister, Kendall Lewis, her nana Betty Allison; and numerous extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Though her time on earth was far too short, Kayla’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the family she cherished above all else.
A memorial service celebrating Kayla’s life will be held on June 20, 2026 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, 201 John Wesley Boulevard, Bossier City, Louisiana.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Boone Funeral Home.
In true Kayla fashion, she left one final instruction:
“In lieu of donations, please send flowers and garden plants.”— Kayla Windham-Estes
