Joyce Marie Tyler

Joyce Marie Dillard Dunlap Tyler, 82 ,passed away in Shreveport on December 14, 2023.   She was born September 2,  1941 in Blue Springs, Union County, Mississippi to Vardis Dames and Minnie Evelyn Taylor Dillard.

Joyce was an excellent seamstress and a wonderful cook.  She retired after 25 years working as an electrician at Western Electric / ATT.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband Mark Tyler, and two sisters Billie Ruth Stringer and Elizabeth Kay James.  

She is survived by her first husband James Dunlap and their daughter Dina Wright (Herchial), grandsons Blake (Michelle) and Corey(Morgan),  great-grandson Austin, and two sisters Marilyn (Rice) (John) and Elaine Carr(Jimmy).

Graveside service will be held at 11;00 AM on December 19, 2023 at Forest Park West Cemetery.  Officiating will be her brother-in-law, Brother Jimmy Carr.
