John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He had the kindest heart. Anyone who has crossed paths with John knows all too well and has experienced his kind heart.
John was a mechanic by trade. He worked at Dixie Truck Center for many years, until he bought his own business, Z’s Fairfield Automotive. While John was at Dixie Truck Center he was mentored by Kenneth Gordon since he was 16 years old to become the mechanic he was. He loved to ride his Harley motorcycle everywhere. He didn’t care if it was raining or snowing or just a nice sunny day. He was also a member of Bossier Dart League.
John left us unexpectedly on December 4, 2024. He has been reunited with his parents Gloria and Benjamin Moore.
He leaves behind his wife Denise to cherish the love they shared together, along with his children: Sonja (Henry) Tilman, Michael (Katelyn) Moore, Nathan (Katie) Moore, Nicole (Brian) Tassin, Norman Young, Nathaniel Young, and Hannah Smith; grandchildren Sabrina (Ricky) Tang, Kyle Tillman, Karson Moore, Dakota Moore, Landon Young, Landry Tassin, and Alyssa Tassin; great grand-daughter Octavia Tang; brothers Benjamin (Evelyn) Moore and David Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers are: Michael Moore, Nathan Moore, David Moore, Anthony Moore, Henry Tillman, and Eric Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be: Benjamin Moore and Kenneth Gordon, Sr.
At the conclusion of John being laid to rest, let's meet up at Shane's Seafood and BBQ, 4726 E. Texas Street, Bossier City, LA to remember John and all his quirky ways. It's a "no host" dinner, so each person covers their own bill.
