John William Barnes

John William “Buddy” Barnes, 54, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away on August 28, 2026.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM September 4th, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM September 4th, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow the Funeral at Rose-Neath Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Boone Funeral Home and Crematory.

Buddy was born in Berlin, Germany on October 3rd, 1971. He graduated from Winston-Salem High School and continued on to receive a bachelor’s degree in project management from AIU, and a master’s degree in business administration from Grand Canyon University.

Buddy was married to Ashley Barnes on October 7th, 2010; they were married 16 years

Buddy worked as a consultant and had his own company BCPM for 2 years. With many years as a Senior Landman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, playing music and riding his motorcycle.

Buddy is survived by his wife Ashley Barnes, Father Bill Barnes and his Girlfriend Samantha Donovan, sister Dayla and her husband Mark Daff, children Dylan Barnes, Ava Barnes, Lydia Barnes, and Liam Barnes, as well as his nieces Jessica Duncan and Taylor Bourque.
