Jessica Dawn Miller

Jessica Dawn Langheld Miller, 43, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 1:14 PM in Athens, Louisiana. Born on Saturday, March 6, 1982, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Jessica lived a life marked by compassion, devotion, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her.

Jessica was the beloved wife of Timothy A. Miller. In her final moments, she was surrounded by love; her husband holding her right hand and her mother holding her left as she peacefully went to be with the Lord.

She was the cherished daughter of Sue Langheld; daughter of Tommy Larry Langheld; a devoted sister to Michelle Puckett (Danny); a loving sister to Christopher Langheld; and sister-in-law to Rachelle Langheld. Jessica’s family circle was close-knit and deeply important to her throughout her life.

Jessica was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, DV and Maude Stovall; her paternal grandfather, William Clifford Langheld; and her paternal grandmother, Lucille Langheld.

A woman of deep faith, Jessica was an active member of Germantown Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana. Her commitment to her church community reflected the same warmth and generosity she extended to everyone around her.

Jessica found joy in life’s simple pleasures, she loved cooking hearty meals for those she cared about and took pride in preserving the fruits of her labor through canning. An avid gardener and hunter, she embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm. Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared for them as part of her family. She also had a special talent for creating beautiful flower arrangements for deceased family and friends; a quiet act of remembrance that spoke volumes about her thoughtfulness.

Those who knew Jessica remember her as a giver; she was loving, compassionate, and always ready to lend a helping hand or offer comfort with grace. Her presence brought light into every room she entered.
