He went on and expanded his career with J Haws & Associates in Shreveport until he retired in 2016.

Jerry had great love for his large family with whom he loved sharing coffee and conversation on the patio. He had a close second love with old cars. He was an avid collector of antique car collectables and loved to display them in his glass cases for all to enjoy.

Jerry, a beloved child of God, trusted in Jesus and knew he would soon be in his presence. We are thankful his battle has ended, and his great reward has begun, for God has prepared a place for him.

An open service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. located at The Healing Place on 8957 Kingston Road, Shreveport, LA.

The family plans to hold a life ceremony celebration in Alexandria at 12 noon on October 18, 2025, at the Cenla Shrine Club for both family and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care provided to their father at Heritage Manor Stratmore by Ms. Gwen, Mr. Ray and staff. We also can’t thank Jonshavia our father’s favorite aide, with whom he shared lots of laughs and his hospice nurse Sheryl for her dedicated care.
