James “Jimmy” Loveridge
James “Jimmy” Loveridge, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was defined by his love of horses and the simple joys of the outdoors, has passed away.
Horses were Jimmy’s lifelong passion. As a skilled horse trainer, he poured his heart into his work and earned the respect and friendship of many in the equestrian community. When he wasn’t in the stables or enjoying the quiet of nature while hunting and fishing, Jimmy was also a master painter for over 30 years, a craft that became not just his career but his way of life. He shared many cherished memories on the water with his daughter, Wendy, often entering local fishing tournaments together. In his younger years, he even worked as a fishing guide for the legendary band Lynyrd Skynyrd — a story he loved to tell and one that always brought a smile to those who heard it.
Jimmy was married to the love of his life, Amanda Loveridge, for 49 wonderful years. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He is also survived by his daughter, Wendy Loveridge Christophe; three grandchildren, Lauren Wilson, Garrett Wilson, and Jacob Christophe; and two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Zoe, all of whom were the light of his life.
A memorial service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 2PM at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
Jimmy will be remembered for his wit and humor, his love of family, and his passion for the life he built around the things and people he loved most.
