Houston Lane Waits

Houston Lane Waits was born on March 23, 1990. He was from Keithville, LA and passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Left to cherish his memory are his loyal and devoted mother, Kathy Waits, and his large family. He will also be deeply missed by his many friends, some since early childhood.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lane Waits.

Houston was happiest when he was outdoors. His passion was casting a line at his favorite fishing hole. His saying was “One more cast or one more fish”. Many fish are now safe.

He was extremely knowledgeable in horticulture. If you wanted to know anything about the care of plants, Houston was the person you would ask. However, you better be ready to learn all about it from the soil all the way to the plant’s maturity.

He never met a stranger, (either two legged or four legged). He loved people and had no problem talking to anyone.

Many people had the privilege of knowing and loving Houston. May he rest in peace and never be forgotten.

A memorial service to honor Houston's life will be December 14, 2025 at Keithville Community Park at 12PM.
