Helen Irene Cannon

Helen Irene Cannon, 90, of Bossier City, Louisiana sadly passed away on January 1, 2023 at

St. Joseph Carpenter House in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Helen was born on Christmas Eve 1932 in Carmel, Maine to Harold and Ruth Purvis.

Helen met and married Herman “Del” Cannon, while he was stationed at Dow Air Force Base in Bangor, Maine.  She is survived by her husband, Herman of 55 years, son Kerry Haines, his wife Connie, daughter Renee’ Speer and Mark Speer, grandchildren Carmen Haines, Christian Speer, and Zane Speer, along with several extended family members.

She had a love for animals, cooking, dancing, and going to the casino.  She took great delight in having her hair done every Friday.  She was very much loved and will be dearly missed by many.

The family had a small private service at Boone Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 to honor her memory.
