Peggy taught Sunday School and participated in multiple church activities, women's groups, and community outreach.  She enjoyed playing bridge and family card or board games as much as possible..  Mother was never too tired to play a game, especially when she won, which was quite often.

Peggy resided in the Northwest LA Veterans Home (NWLAVH0 During the last 16 months of her life, where she was cared for by loving, kind , and compassionate staff.  She was often described there as "a hoot".  She was sometimes bossy, observant/"nosey", and could be stubborn, but always a southern lady. She was a great storyteller of all things funny, interesting facts, and history.  Peggy was dearly loved by her family, friends, and the NWLAVH staff.  She will be remembered with great fondness and will be greatly missed.  Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Benton Methodist Church.
