Frierson, LA?Funeral services for Mr. Owen Barber, 51, will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 10:00am at Boone Funeral Home with Rev. David Radford and Bro. Billy Franks officiating. The family will receive friends for an evening of visitation on Monday from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. Barber passed from this life on Thursday, May 21, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Growing up around Shreveport, Owen spent most of his life working in oil production. In his spare time, he enjoyed a relaxing game of golf. He will be missed by his large, loving family which includes his children, Steven, Joseph, Michael, and Christopher; grandchildren, Levi, Hannah, Tucker, and Mason; mother, Elsie; sisters, Barbara, Donna, Catherine, Ruth, and Dolores; brothers, Rene and Charles; and many other family members, neighbors, and friends.
