Gary Lynn Gribble

Gary Lynn Gribble, 75, of Marshall, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by loved ones, after a long illness.

Gary, the son of the late Charles M. Gribble II and Grace Virginia Staggs, was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas. After graduating from high school, Gary joined the United States Marine Corps and later served in the United States Naval Reserve.

Gary met the love of his life, Glenda Grice, and together they raised three daughters. He worked as a newspaper press printer before later being employed by General Motors, where he eventually retired.

In his retirement years, Gary thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his dogs and his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Masonic Order for over 50 years and a 47-year member of the Scottish Rite, where he held multiple positions. Gary was also an active member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Marshall, Texas, for 30 years.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Charles M. Gribble II and Grace Gribble, and his brother, Charles M. Gribble III.

He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Gribble of Marshall, Texas; his daughters, Stephanie Champy (John), Angela McLellan (Stephen), and Cynthia Sutton (Heath); his niece, Karen Gribble; and his grandchildren, Hunter Peri, Brayden Gribble, Caiden Gribble, Gunner Champy, Zane McLellan, Sophia Champy, and Lyla Sutton.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Marshall, Texas, on Friday, May 8, at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be announced at a later date.
