Frank Farwell Boston, 76, of Ida, LA, passed away January 17, 2026 after a long illness.

 Frank is survived by his sons, Chris Boston and Devin Boston and daughter Allison Ponchak. He was blessed with four precious granddaughters. Frank is also survived by his sisters, Janet Hobgood and Carol Zeisler and his brother John Boston. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Farwell and Damaris Boston and brothers Roger Boston and Robert Boston. 

Frank was born in Shreveport, LA on November 26, 1949, graduated Fair Park High School and attended LA Tech. Frank spent his life in Christian ministry. His early years were spent in mission work in Eastern Europe and India, and his later years of ministry were through his many writings and music endeavors. He faithfully served Ida Methodist Church as their pianist and in other ministry efforts. Frank was gifted with a love of music, languages, writing and nature. He had a wide variety of interests and hobbies, but his greatest enjoyment was being with his family, friends and church activities.

 Frank was devoted to his faith and will be remembered by many for his impacts on their own personal faith journeys. But he will mostly be remembered by his family and friends for his life of kindness and love. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made in his memory to the charity of your choice or to the Ida Methodist Church, 6874 Cedar Lane, Ida, LA 71044 

A memorial service will be held at the Ida Methodist Church at 2:30 on January 31, 2026. Officiating will be Rev. Kendall Docter.
