Douglas Earl Scott

Douglas Earl Scott Sr, born January 26, 1943 and passed on August 3, 2026 at the age of 83, surrounded by family at home.

He was born to Douglas S. Scott and Bobbie Ruth Scott in Fouke AR.  Earl spent most of his young years in Rodessa LA.   He graduated from North Caddo High School and joined the Army Immediately Afterward.  After serving his country, he served in the National Guard.  He worked in the oil field in every capacity possible.  He also worked over thirty years as a long-haul trucker.  Earl married Sandra Mixon Scott on September 25, 1967, and to this union were born Douglas Earl Scott Jr, and Patricia Scott-Smith.

Earl is preceded in death by both of his parents, and his brother Richard Scott, and sisters Peggy Dixon and Shirley McCloud.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Sandra; daughter, Patricia Scott-Smith (Kenny) of Mira LA; son, Douglas Earl Scott Jr. of Oklahoma; grandchildren Andrew Scott of Vivian LA, Kristopher Smith (Lauren) Of Texarkana TX, Dakota Smith (Rorie) of Mira LA, Cerra Wilson (Josh) of Vivian LA, Octavia Scott of Oklahoma, and Trevor Scott of Oklahoma; brother, Earnist Scott of Oklahoma City; and numerous great-grandchildren and a host of friends and family.
