Dorsey Lee Taylor

Early Life

Dorsey was born on January 9, 1951, in Trout, Louisiana, to Jimmie and Jennie (Johnson) Taylor. He grew up in Zwolle, Louisiana, where he graduated from Zwolle High School.

Survivors

Dorsey leaves behind a large and loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his children: Michael Turner, Chris Turner, Alvin Griffin, Curtis Griffin, Janice Dominique, Timothy Griffin, Reginald Mitchell Sr., Terrance Mitchell, Sherry McClanahan, Alicia Howard, and Desmond Taylor. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. He will be deeply missed by his children, brothers, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

 Dorsey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna (McClanahan) Taylor; his parents, Jimmie and Jennie Taylor; his sisters, Louise Taylor, Helen Taylor, Bernice Polk, Dorothy Taylor, and Versa Taylor; his brother, Otis Johnson; and his son, Demontrez Scott.
