Donald Westbrook

Donald Ray Westbrook passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Homer Memorial Hospital at the age of 72 following a short illness. Donnie was born and raised in Ruston, LA & then later moved to Homer, LA. He began working in the oilfield right after high school & worked his way up to be a Mud Engineer. When his oilfield career came to an end, he went to work at Synco Motors in Homer where he was a well-known car salesman for many years. He enjoyed all sports whether in person or on the television… especially fishing.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Max R Westbrook & Lucille Gibson Westbrook and his son, Joseph “Jody” Westbrook. He is survived by his three kids; Ben Westbrook & wife Alisha of Weston, LA, Max L Westbrook & wife Ashley of Junction City, AR, and Allison Gaston & husband Brandon of Sibley, LA; one sister, Kathy Bayne & husband Bill; two nephews, West & Wade; eight grandkids, Dustie, Tag, Keely, Bailee, Caden, Ryley, Madelyn, Lane, Rita & Ryland; thirteen great-grandkids.

His family would like to thank the staff of Presbyterian Village in Homer for the continuous care they provided Mr. Westbrook.
