Donald Gene Glasgow, age 76 of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away on January 3, 2026. Donald was a man who lived life with spirit and charm. He loved riding horses and motorcycles, passions that stayed with him throughout his life. In his later years, when riding was no longer possible, he found joy in drawing horses and motorcycles, capturing on paper the freedom and movement he cherished so deeply.
He enjoyed listening to old country music and loved to dance, Donald also found peace in fishing, spending quiet moments enjoying the water and the outdoors.
Donald was an Army veteran, having served a couple of years after being drafted, though he did not consider it a defining part of his life. He was a proud member of the American Legion Bistineau Chapter.
Donald is proceeded in death by his parents; Leonard and Willie Glasgow, his daughter; Carolyn Glasgow Woodall and his brothers; Samuel Stiles and Robert Stiles.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter; Theresa Nettles, 5 Grandchildren; Kelsey, Halie, Ricki, Destiny and Gracen. 3 Great Grandchildren; Perryn, Alex and Leroy, his sister; Martha Rennie and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Veteran’s Home and Hospice of Louisiana for their compassionate care of Donald, and to his dear friend B.B. for her kindness and support.
There will be no services held for Donald. He will be remembered for his free spirit, love of music, and the many lives he touched along the way.
May he now ride free, with the wind at his back, wherever the trail may lead.
