Debra Lynn Herring

Debra (Debbie) Lynn Herring, 70, of Shreveport, La. passed away on January 6, 2023, at Overton Brooks Veterans Hospital in Shreveport, La.  A visitation will be held at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, La. on Thursday January 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery West at 4000 Meriweather Road, Shreveport, La.

Debbie was born June 21, 1952 in Shreveport, La. to Billy James and Christina Adcock.  She spent most of her childhood in Shreveport, graduating from Woodlawn High School in 1970.  She proudly served in the U. S. Army, for seven years, attaining the rank of Sergeant.  She enjoyed gospel music, especially Karen Peck and New River, reading and caring for her 4-legged baby, Buttercup.

Debbie was preceded in death by her mother Christina Tolbird and father Billy Adcock, sister Judy Stubblefield and husband Sam, nephew John Christopher Baudoin.  She is survived by brother Steve Bates and wife Lori, nephew Jimmy Baudoin, niece Stacey Stubblefield, great-nephew Christopher Baudoin, great-niece Krystin Baudoin, step - mother Wynona Adcock, step-sister Jerrie Thornton (Mike), step-brothers Robert Allen (Peggy) and Eddie Allen (Sharon).  Debbie also leaves behind her beloved dog Buttercup.
