Charles Dewayne Irey

Charles Dewayne Irey, age 74, of Benton, LA passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023.  Charles was born in Pitkin, LA on February 17, 1949.  He was married to Sharon on November18, 2018.  They were married five years.  Charles was retired, after working all of his life, on many different jobs.  He was an electrician, worked offshore, worked for a concrete company, and an escort for moving mobile homes across the state.  Charles also owned his own taxi service with his deceased wife Gloria. He was a hard-working man making a living for his family.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Irey, of Benton LA, daughters Andrea Renay Wyatt of Rosepine, LA, Charlotte Dawn Thibodeaux of Slidell, LA, sisters Rita Dixon (Bill) of Pitkin LA, Patricia Accettella (Tony) of Pollock LA, Charlotte Thompson of Pitkin LA, Sandra McClain of Leesville LA, Marilyn Bayham of Leesville LA, Eleanor Moore of Soapstone LA, Jeannie Boudreaux of Sulphur LA, Shirley Bloodsworth (Bobby) of Pitkin LA, Michelle Merchant (Kevin) of Hineston LA, and brother Mitchell Perkins (Veronica) of DeRidder LA, 5 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his father, Charles Thomas Irey, mother, Mary Irey Bayham, stepmother, Lorene Perkins, brothers Jimmy Irey, Roger Irey, and Donnie Irey, daughters Angela Irey, Rhonda Irey, and grandson Vance Blunson.

Ministers Reverand Thompson and Reverand C.R. Bayham will be officiating.
