Charles Boogaerts

Charles Gibbons “Sonny” Boogaerts Jr., passed away on August 2, 2024 at the age of 80. He was born in Shreveport, La to Maggie Rodgers Boogaerts and Charles G. Boogaerts Sr.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Judy Bell Boogaerts; children, Elizabeth Boogaerts Nix (Scott), CG Boogaerts lll (Anna) and Kim Clikas Williams; five granddaughters, Hannah Gardunio (Joey), Mary Elliott and Grace Boogaerts, Bailey Williams, Haley Nix Johnson (Jordan); and one great-grandson, Hayes Cooper Johnson. He also leaves behind two brothers, Gordon Boogaerts and Michael Boogaerts and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sonny was preceded in death by one brother, Rodger Boogaerts and two children, Heidi Boogaerts Briggs and Michael Clikas.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
