Bobby Glyn “Cowboy” Cotton was born September 26, 1945 in Shreveport to Exton and Irene Cotton.  Sadly, Bobby gained his wings on January 9, 2023 with his family by his side.  A Celebration Gathering will be held between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2023 at Boone Funeral Home.

Bobby was raised in Coushatta and graduated from Martin High School.  After graduation, he proudly served his country in the US Air Force.  He served overseas in Thailand, of which he learned about different. cultures.  Later in life, he became a mechanic on heavy equipment.  When not working he loved being in the outdoors.  He could be found either hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler, or camping.  During the fall, he loved driving the hay ride through the Dixie Corn Maze.  He could be heard a long distance away yelling “Hay Ride”.  After retirement, he started using his talents and time to create wooden and leather keepsakes for his family. These precious items will be kept and passed down for many generations.

Preceding Bobby in death are his parents, Exton and Irene Cotton; wives, Beverly Quick Cotton and Linda Adair Cotton; brothers, Richard, Michell, Daniel; sisters, Tina and Linda; great-grandson Conner.  Left to cherish his memory are children, Homer Cotton and wife Stephanie and their five children, Christina Drew and her eight children, Ivy Jung and husband Bo and their two children, Tammy Ward and husband Steve; 23 great-grandchildren; sister; Becky Wood and husband Larry and Gwen Barbo; and many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

Bobby loved his family dearly, his country, and his friends.  He will be greatly missed.  The family requests that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Veterans’ Association, in lieu of flowers.
