Bobby Glenn Baker was born October 11, 1955, to the late Nathaniel Baker Sr. and Ruthie Lee Thomas Baker and raised in Belcher, LA. He graduated from N Caddo High School in 1973.

On April 12, 1980 he Married Brenda (Cookie) Clark and enjoyed 44 years of marriage. He was a hardworking and loving provider. His employment included roles at HICA, TSE, VIP, Builder’s Supply, DOC, and John & John. He was also a true outdoorsman who loved gardening, fishing, hunting, grilling and carpentry. He spent a lot of time teaching these skills to his sons, disciplining them, providing wholesome instruction, and instilling values. BG truly had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He was a role model to many young men and women and enjoyed his time outside relaxing in the company of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Nathaniel Baker Jr., Johnny Lee Baker and John Wayne Baker, and daughter Tracie Winslow.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Brenda of Belcher, LA; 4 sons: Taji Clark and Juwan Baker of Belcher, LA, SeDerek Baker, of Shreveport, LA, and LeDaron Baker of Humble, TX; 5 grandchildren: Shicarra Winslow, Damian Winslow Ty’Keonna Winslow, and Taraji Clark of Shreveport, and Torren Baker of Humble, TX. along with sisters: Essie Knuckles of Belcher; Della Thomas Smith (Chris) of El Sobrante, CA; Shannon Gipson of Bossier City, LA; Sharon Bradford of Cypress, TX; and Casandra Webb of Arlington, TX; brothers: Tommy Thomas (Homero) of Indianapolis, IN; Charles Baker of Los Angeles, CA; Alvin Ray Jackson of Bossier City, LA; Anthony Gipson, Nathaniel Baker-Jackson, and David Jackson of Shreveport, LA; Nathaniel Wilson and Kenny Wilson of Vivian, LA; an aunt Gladys Swift Harris; an uncle Eddie Swift and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
