Alyce Faye Willis Conly

It is with heavy hearts, but with faith and gratitude for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of Alyce Faye Willis Conly, born September 3, 1946.

Alyce was born and raised in Bossier City and made it her lifelong home. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Wayne Conly, and together they built a life and family filled with love. Alyce dedicated herself to caring for Wayne and raising their two children.

Alyce had a beautiful way of moving through life. She laughed easily, never met a stranger and was always willing to try something new. She was kind and sweet, with a warm and welcoming spirit, but those who knew her best also knew that she would fiercely defend the people she loved. Her family was her heart.

She found joy in simple things like cooking, gardening, traveling, holidays and time spent with those she loved. She especially treasured her children and grandchildren. Alyce was surrounded by the love of her family, a reflection of the love she so freely gave throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bryan Goodwin Willis; her mother, Freda Willis; and her sister, Linda Hill.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of more than six decades, Wayne Conly; her son, Troy Wayne Conly and his wife, Kellye, and their children, Savannah, Duncan and Kendall; her daughter, Deanna Faye Geissler and her husband, Gordon, and their children, Nathan and Christiana; and her sisters, Rosana Meadows and Mari Mathis (Ken).

While our hearts ache at the loss of Alyce, we take comfort in knowing that she is whole again. We have no doubt that she has left behind the limitations of this earthly life and is now walking with the Lord, rejoicing in the presence of her Savior.

As Jesus said in John 11:25–26:

"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."

Rather than a formal service we ask that you remember Alyce with a smile, share a story and hug a loved one.
