Mary A. Tarpley

Mary Alventry Broussard Tarpley, was born in Lafayette, LA on 04/13/1933 to Eugene and Adina Broussard, a devout Catholic, passed away 03/10/2015. Mary was married to Thomas Clifford Tarpley Sr. for 63 years. Thomas preceded her in death. Mary and Thomas were blessed with 5 surviving children, Thomas Clifford Tarpley, Jr. (Cheryl) of San Marcos, TX; four daughters, Carmen Vanessa Jones (Willie) of Virginia Beach, VA; Mia Yolanda Tarpley (John) of Houston, TX; Gretchen Renee Martin (Kerrick) of Keithville, LA and Leah Tarpley Harris (Larry) of Austin, TX. Preceding Mary in death is her daughter, Felycia Yvette Tarpley, son, Eric Vincent Tarpley, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Mary has one surviving sister, Marjorie Broussard Thomas; 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Graveside service will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 1 pm at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
