Juanita (McKinney) Ferguson Hollan of Bossier City, LA (formerly of Cotton Valley) peacefully went to her heavenly home Thursday, June 15, 2017. In her 91 years she lived happily as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was born in Waldo, Arkansas, the ninth of ten children, on May 29, 1926 to Noah and Ida McKinney. A memorial service in honor of her life will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 at Boone Funeral Home Chapel, 2156 Airline Drive in Bossier City. Interment will be a private ceremony at a later date. Juanita was a graduate of Jonesboro Hodge High School, but spent most of her life in Cotton Valley, LA. She was not only a busy homemaker, but also a beautician. Later in life, she worked for the Louisiana Department of Revenue. She will be remembered as a kind, generous Southern Lady who loved God, her family and her friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her children, Robert Lee Ferguson; her second husband Samuel J. Hollan, a son, Robert Lee Ferguson Jr, five brothers, four sisters, and a great granddaughter, Rae Lynn Dalrymple. Left to cherish her memory are: her daughter, Donna Dalrymple and husband, Billy of Bossier City, LA; her daughter in law, Mary Beth Ferguson of Fayetteville, AR; three grandsons: Robert Lee Ferguson III and wife, Hillary of Little Rock, AR; Bill Ferguson and wife, Caitlin of Fayetteville, AR; and Colby Dalrymple and wife Cassie of Forney, TX, and two great grandchildren Camden and Saylor Ferguson of Fayetteville, AR and numerous nieces and nephews. The family gives special thanks to the staff at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Bossier City, her special caregiver Linda Remble, and Aime Hospice and especially Mrs. Jancee VanDevender for the excellent care Mrs. Hollan received.
