Janet Sullivan Horstman

Bossier City, LA - Jan passed away peacefully at Grace Home. She was born in Medford, Mass. to Frances Emmitt and Mary Crehan Sullivan, she grew up in Charlestown, Mass. She attended the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing, receiving her RN in 1955. She served in the United States Air Force as a nurse and worked at P&S Hospital in Shreveport until it closed. She served on the board of Oakwood Home for Women. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rich Horstman and daughters Laura Finken (Andrew) of Lowell, AR; Beth Smiley (Adrian) of Bossier City; Grandchildren Sarah, Justin, Ben, Amelia and Austin. She is also survived by her siblings M.T Sullivan, Ruth O'Rourke and Peter Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Mike and Chuck Horstman, one brother, Frances Sullivan and her parents. A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Oakwood Home For Women, St. Jude's Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
