Helen Ikner

Bossier City - Funeral services for Helen Ikner will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Opbrook of Shreveport Community Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Rose Neath Cemetery. Helen, 74, was born in Hamburg, AR to Ethel and John Wesley Blocker. She will be remembered for her kind, loving spirit and beautiful smile. Preceding Helen in death are parents, Ethel and John Blocker; brother, Richard Blocker; sisters, Nancy, Sylvia, Viola and Mildred. Helen is survived by husband of 50 years, Jerry Ikner; son, Bradley Ikner and Kandy; brothers, James Blocker and wife Sharon, and Bill Blocker and wife Gwen; sisters, Jane Curtis and Ginger Kinnan; "tons of nieces and nephews that I love dearly". Helen, loving wife, mother and sister will be greatly missed by all that had the honor of knowing her.
