Fred Lenard Dudley

Fred Lenard "Lenny" Dudley, 64 of Shreveport, LA passed away on August 10, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home, 2156 Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA. Bro. Jim Everidge of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lucas, TX will be officiating. Pallbearers are David Meacham, Chris Moreno, Roy Turner, David Leidke, Chris Clark, and John Cayce. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Duette, Hugh Lemoine, Charles Parker, and Leroy Dickerson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Boothill Cemetery in Greenwood, LA. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Boone Funeral Home. Fred was born in Shreveport, LA on August 29, 1949. He graduated from Fair Park High School in 1967. Shortly after graduation, he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He spent several years as a Deacon at Greenwood Baptist Church and was involved with the Youth Ministry. Fred was self-employed as a Dental Technician for 46 years. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and entertaining friends and family. Fred is survived by his children, Stephen Leonard Dudley & wife Karla, Mark Allen Dudley and wife Alicia & Natalie Suzanne VanSchyndle & husband Matt, childhood friend and soul mate, Karen Peltier, grandchildren, Stephen Dylan Dudley & wife Brittni, Reagan Leonard Dudley, Tristin Blake Dudley, Caitlin Tyler Dudley, Carly Eileen Dudley & Isabella Pete VanSchyndle, parents William R. Dudley, Sr. & Jane Elizabeth Dudley, brother, William R. Dudley, Jr., nieces, Brooke Elizabeth Colgrove & Kristin Dudley, nephews, William Andrew Dudley, Michael Paul Dudley & John David Dudley. Fred is preceded in death by brother, Kevin Andrew Dudley.
